Story and Symbolism

Saint Patrick was also known as the patron saint of Ireland and one of the most triumphant Christian missionaries. He was a Roman citizen of Britain who was apprehended by pirates at sixteen and sold into servitude in Ireland. One of the famous legends about St. Patrick is that he miraculously chased away all the snakes in Ireland and banished them all to the sea. He was also known for using the three leaflets of the shamrock to illustrate the Holy Trinity concept. He was also reported to have raised as many as 33 people from the dead.
